Maintenance Engineering Specialist

About the Role

Aramco is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Specialist to join the Maintenance Solution Department under Global Manufacturing Excellence. The role provides specialized maintenance engineering support to Global Manufacturing operating facilities and focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating maintenance programs, processes, procedures, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance processes and maintenance management strategies.
• Conduct maintenance health assessments in line with corporate requirements.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Analyze manpower, maintenance costs, spending, and equipment performance.
• Benchmark maintenance organization performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Review maintenance reports, KPIs, and performance trends.
• Analyze maintenance spending related to manpower, equipment, materials, and outsourcing.
• Support the implementation of maintenance and reliability programs.
• Develop methods and programs for maintenance of pumps, motors, compressors, turbines, valves, instrument systems, and computer systems.
• Work with engineering teams and vendors to develop alternative parts or systems.
• Support committees, task groups, and special maintenance initiatives.
• Recommend work that may be assigned to contractors and develop the relevant scope of work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized and approved program.
• Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the downstream oil and gas sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of maintenance programs and practices.
• Experience with Reliability-Centered Maintenance and Risk-Based Maintenance.
• Experience with Total Productive Maintenance.
• Experience with spare parts and materials procurement strategies.
• Strong maintenance planning, scheduling, and work-prioritization experience.
• Experience with maintenance budgeting and spending control.
• Experience with field maintenance processes and procedures.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP.
