Renewable Energy Engineer

The Role

You will work on utility-scale solar and wind projects, with a focus on tenders and early-stage project development. You’ll be the technical voice in our business development effort, preparing competitive bids and engaging directly with project owners, developers, and EPC partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate EPC and civil works tender submissions for utility-scale solar and wind projects
• Review tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings, and identify scope, risks, and cost drivers
• Develop technical proposals, methodologies, schedules, and bills of quantities
• Coordinate with estimating, procurement, and subcontractors to build accurate and competitive pricing
• Attend meetings with project owners, developers, and consultants, presenting CCC’s technical capabilities and answering technical queries
• Support vendor registration, pre-qualification, and clarification rounds with clients
• Track the renewable energy market and tender pipeline in Egypt and the region
• Work closely with the business development team and senior management to prepare for negotiations and bid decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Renewable Energy Engineering
• 3-7 years of experience in utility-scale solar or wind projects (EPC contractor, developer, or consultant side)
• Hands-on experience with tenders and proposal preparation
• Solid understanding of project components: PV/wind plant design, substations, grid connection, and civil and electrical works
• Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable representing the company in client meetings
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with PVsyst, AutoCAD, or similar tools is an advantage

Nice to Have

• Experience with international developers or IPPs
• Knowledge of PPAs, grid codes, and local content requirements in Egypt
